Filing Requirements

Trademark/Service Mark Applications

  • A Power of Attorney signed, notarized, and legalized either by the Apostille or legalized by the Consulate of Oman via courier.
  • The name, nationality, address, and occupation of the applicant.
  • A print of the trademark.
  • A list of specific goods/services and the corresponding classes to be covered by the application.  It is not possible to file the trademark with entire class heading or with all goods/services or without specific goods/services.
  • The meaning of the trademark (if available).
  • A simple copy of the Certificate of Incorporation of the applicant company or an extract of their entry in the Commercial or a Certificate of Good Standing (along with a simple English translation, if it is not in English).  Legalization is not required for this document.
  • A certified priority document (along with a simple English translation), if priority is to be claimed.
